Oscar award winning movies and their plot synopsis
Once upon a a time it was quite funny when your brain filtered out the second “a”. Thats how most stories begin (except for the cleverly placed “a”) “Once upon a time” is a popular way to start a story. Its also plain boring. It is overused and not very creative.
I believe that movies should start with something more unique like a sob story about a chicken or a lemonade stand (Jim ate my brother and The duck song). At Mezzacello we have made many movies, almost one every week. Here is a list, so you can have a Mezzacello movie marathon.
The first Movie we made was titled “Jim ate my brother. Me and Harrison were make a script for a play (somthing we had done before) when we had an idea. Make a few simple cuts and turn it into at movie (“a few simple cuts” turned into a WHOLE lot of cuts, a 3 hour editing time (edited by yours truly) and a 2 hour filming time.) However it turned out better than we could ever have expected. Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2_DAFpgKegQ SPOILER WARNING WATCH MOVIE FIRST: When we were filming the fight at the end of the movie you’ll notice jim (Played by the greatest actor to grace this planet) did not actually get sprayed by water and the clip of Harrison spraying the hose was reused. We did film me getting sprayed with the hose but the clip was lost in transit. If you pay close attention you can notice I am wet in the next scene.
National Jimographic: The Secret Life of Humans was the second movie we made. The idea came form Elaina when we were brainstorming promotional ideas for social media. We all agereed it was a great idea and started working. However, we learned a lot from Jim Ate my Brother like how you should get a shot list to stay organized and how clips do not need to be in order. In most of our movies we have 2 stages of filming) The first being the recording stage were we get the visuals and the next being the audio stage were we voiceover the animals. The reason why we don’t just act ourselves is because we have the animals at our disposal and we don’t want to pass that up. What really happened was Finn recorded himself when Jim was not looking at the file was accidentally sent to me for editing so I put it in.
The next movie we did I was not a part of so I don’t have much to say on it this was titled: “Mezzacello Urban Farm A New Home: A simple Machines and Structures Video for Summer Camp” catchy, right? I think this was ment to be a movie like the fist 2 but I was not there so I don’t know. I find the story confusing but once you get it its a good story. Mezzacello Finn and the vertical river tower was the next block buster to grace theaters I was here for this but It wasn’t my movie so I don’t know much Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aCPM_gU4rcY This was first filmed many moons ago but It remained unfinished for months until Ohio University reached out about the river tower so the video was finished.
The next movie was titled: Mezzacello ecologic life Cock-a-Doodle-Clue movie Part 1. This was one of five parts. We did not have time to finish the other 4 parts so other camps might do them. This was a movie I was a part of and Helped write. I really like how this turned out but wish we could finish. I also feel like a discoved the importance of music in a movie for the mood. The beautifuly named: Tree of Heaven video was the next trophy in the pile. It started when Annabelle made a slideshow to teach us about Tree of Heaven (NOT heavenly like the name might make you think) Then Annabelle converted it into a video and Tree of Heaven video was born.
I am sure many more amazing additions will be added to the Mezzacello productions lineup but this is all for now. So grab your popcorn🍿🍿🍿 and get ready for a Mezzacello productions marathon!
