Mezzacello Project Fire Soap

Turning waste to ash to make soap tomorrow. Water safety team at the ready!

This is a guest camp blog post by two middle school campers at Mezzacello charged with converting waste weeds and wood into ash to mix with glycerine and lye to make soap.

Why do we need fire?

We need fire to make ash for the soap and garden beds.

What does it do in the garden bed?

It will fertilize the soil has lots of nutrients to grow roots!

How we make soap?

Using the ash to make a smooth surface, glycerin and lie - no lie - NO LIE! LYE! Dang!

What is the hardest part about burning?

It was really smoky and we would get phnultramicroscopicvolcanoconiosis...

How are we safe?

We went away from the fire. They were there with water guns they were spraying each other with water guns and then Harrison shoots water all over me, and they sprayed the fire with water from the water guns!
