Next Steps at Mezzacello Urban Farm

The Map into products and services at Mezzacello Urban Farm

Mezzacello Urban Farm is at a crossroads in its mission and impact. We have committed ourselves to thestrictly non-profit mission of Grow, Maintain, Sustain, Explain applied STEAM in education and ag-science. Ironically, we cannot sustain this mission as it has no export for the products that Mezzacello creates organically and as a result of its sustainable ecologies. We must expand our vision.

Products and Services

  • Starting in 2021, Mezzacello Urban Farm started running STEM Farming Camps as an arm of our non-profit.

  • After two years of summer camps, we bagan offering workshops and after school programming in 2023.

  • In 2025, we decided to start marketing and selling the fertilizers and farm products produced here at Mezzacello Urban Farm as part of our STEM Research and Development and STEM Farming Camps.

  • In 2025 we ran a test protocol for our Sustainability Consultation Services.

    • The test run was a success and as a result, we will be evolving Mezzacello Columbus’ Fee for Service and Sustainability Products line to offset the massive awarded grants losses due to DOGE cuts in 2025.

Sustainability Consultation Results, botanical, infrastructure, rainwater, solar, and formal gardens.

The above master plan was pulled together by Mezzacello Columbus. Rick managed the horticultural components and Jim managed the survey and water, data, and energy integration on the project. The plan is moving forward and the grounds are being prepared.

We’d like to do more of this. We need to start developing this line of business.
