Coming Soon: The Foodist Cooking Workshops

Rick Riley, The Foodist at Mezzacello

Rick Riley, The Foodist, at the kitchen island at Mezzacello Urban Farm.

The key to cooking with Rick Riley, The Foodist, at Mezzacello is to understand the basics of our strategy to cooking and innovating food. It starts with fresh food and ingredients - homegrown when we can — and surprising flavors and combos. It moves into whimsy, curiosity, and a commitment to always being better. And finally, we finish it off with a passion for sustainability and growing together.

What Will The Foodist: Cooking Workshops Be Like?

Simple at first, but still diverse. We want to start with the basics by cooking what we know we can produce here at the farm and keeping the recipes simple, easy to learn, and scalable.

Rick is a classic chef for the home. He has also been in the Marines, a father of a growing family, and the minister of several churches. He knows how to cook no matter what the scale.

The workshops will be using the new kitchen facilities at Mezzacello Urban Farm and the new attached classroom space that is just outside the kitchen and between the gardens. There we will socialize and discuss the recipes planned, gather resources, and start working at the three planned stations
